Tuesday’s MNVCA Meeting: Fish Barrier Removal Project, 4th of July, & more

The Upstream Fish Barrier Removal Project is moving forward and will affect five locations in Monte Nido along Cold Creek.

We have invited RJ Van Sant, Senior Environmentalist for California State Parks, Angeles District, and representatives from California Trout will be joining our upcoming MNVCA community meeting to discuss the project and answer any questions the community has.

Are you curios about the Insect Traps that have popped up around Monte Nido?

  • Ca. Dept. Food & Agriculture places traps every year from spring to fall throughout the county.

  • These are in response to the Spongy Moth that was detected in the area last year.

  • Each trap contains a pheromone to attract male Spongy Moths if any are present.
