“Why We Love Monte NIdo”
This is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate and celebrate all the unique and wonderful things that make this community special, and a chance to share with our friends and neighbors what Monte NIdo means to each of us. There are many aspects of Monte NIdo - our natural environment, our rural setting, our sense of community, our history, and so much more - and we are excited for everyone to share what makes Monte Nido special for each of us!
This year’s 4th of July Picnic will include…
Hot Food and Ice Cream available for purchase
Annual Silent Auction and Raffle
Games and additional Activities for Kids
We are in our final month of planning the parade and picnic and are still in need of volunteers for the 4th and donations for the silent auction and raffle. Please contact us at July4th@montenido.org if you’re able to help and contribute!

Firewood Best Management Practices
Please Buy / Burn Only Local (Santa Monica Mountains) Firewood!
Wood sourced from anywhere else can spread invasive species. Currently, the Santa Monica Mountains do not have a problem with the borer beetle. The best way to keep our oaks safe is to NOT transport firewood.
